Yoga has been one of my passions for over 14 years now, and it is through this passion that I decided to become a hatha yoga teacher. I love being on my mat, it's where I go to unravel and discover what's truly going on within me. I focus on the empowerment of relaxation, meditation and opening the body to free the mind. Movement becomes meditation. Meditation is often misunderstood, I aim to teach you to use it and feel it more broadly. It's not about what you do, it's how you do it! Yoga becomes beautiful when there is no effort involved, when the breath is free and smooth, when the breath is not labored! I trained to be a Hatha Yoga teacher but enjoy using lots of variety and different styles within my classes as well as an openness with lots of fun when its necessary.

During my week and weekend yoga retreats I love to spend time (as we have it), working in partners to really explore the yoga postures and body more deeply. Retreats give us the opportunity to open into the areas that we don't normally have time to reach!

Yoga is a complete science of life and has been around for many thousands of years. ‘Hatha Yoga’ translates as the yoga of postures. Postures are performed utilising the breath, held to encourage strength & balance, and it is through this practice that we gain flexibility and freedom of the mind. Yoga allows us to feel more in touch with our body and mind, more relaxed and at ease with life, less stressed and all in all happier and healthier.

I teach Prenatal (pregnancy) yoga too which has developed more and more since the birth of my baby Ana Mary, which was the most amazing experience. I attended prenatal yoga classes regularly througut my pregnancy and have designed my prenatal classes to offer an intimate and open way to assist pregnant mothers and bumps to be! I encourage lots of freedom within these sessions concentrating on the hips and using adapted yoga postures to help prepare the body and mind for the birth. Deep relaxation is of course a major feature as is meditation and the breath. Friendly forums are offered too to help with common topics during pregnancy. I am a trained Doula.
